Web 2.0 Tools

For this project, my professor divided the class into groups, assigned us a Web 2.0 tool and we had to research our assigned topic as a group, create a Wiki page, and then go back to our regular class table grouping and present the Wiki page to our group in what is called a Jigsaw form.

Click the Link below to go to the class Wiki Page and see the Wiki in action:

I really enjoyed working in a jigsaw format of groupings.  I feel that I really learned a lot from my classmates who where in a different group. I can really see myself implementing this in my own classroom because it keeps students engaged and is a new and exciting way to do group projects.

The NETS-S that this artifact meets are:

Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility
-C: Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to   the use of technology and information.

Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
-C: Promote student relflection using collaborative rools to reveal and clarify              students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative process.
-D: Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with        students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.
